The software design was based on DNA or Distributed interNetwork Architecture, a programming model developed by Microsoft.
The ODIS is basically comprised of three tiers. One serves as the database for storage of free Oklahoma criminal records. Another is a compiled application components used to handle the business logic and the presentation layer which serves as the display screen once the user accesses the free Oklahoma criminal records.

The downside to ODIS is that the information it contains are related to free Oklahoma criminal records of convictions. For records of arrests, court filings, dispositions, and such, you can check out city databases and county databases.
Inmate information is usually kept by the Department of Corrections and made available online via their web portal.
